I’ve lost my retainer. What should I do?
If you can’t find your retainer, avoid leaving the situation unresolved unnecessarily.
If your teeth haven’t noticeably moved, you can order a custom replacement retainer from us using our home impression service.
If your teeth have already moved significantly, or you’re unsure whether a replacement retainer is appropriate, speak to your dentist or orthodontist.
My retainer is cracked or broken
A small crack can become worse with continued use.
If your retainer has sharp, badly cracked, distorted or broken areas that could injure your mouth, stop wearing it and seek advice from your dental professional where appropriate.
Don’t attempt to repair a clear retainer using household glue, heat or other DIY methods.
My old retainer feels very tight
Don’t force a retainer over teeth that have substantially moved.
A retainer is intended to retain tooth position rather than provide unsupervised orthodontic treatment.
If your teeth have moved or your existing retainer has become painful or no longer fits properly, speak to your dentist or orthodontist.

A single upper or lower retainer costs £59.95. Two retainers cost £109.95.
2. We send your impression kit
Your home impression kit is included and dispatched the next working day.
3. Take and return your impression
Follow the supplied instructions and return your impression using our included prepaid Second Class return label.
We’ll check your impression before manufacture.
4. We make your replacement
Once we’ve received a suitable impression, we digitise your teeth and manufacture your 1mm Iconic Lux clear retainer in our UK laboratory.
Manufacture normally takes two working days.
5. We send it to you
Your finished retainer is dispatched free by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays. Postal time is additional.

If you’ve previously ordered from us, contact us before placing another order.
We may be able to manufacture your replacement using your existing stored scan.
Eligible repeat appliance orders using the same scan receive 10% off, so you may not need another impression kit.
Tell us if your teeth have changed, you’ve had dental treatment or your previous retainer stopped fitting properly.

How quickly can I get a replacement retainer?
We dispatch your impression kit the next working day. Once we receive and approve a suitable impression, manufacture normally takes two working days. We then send the finished retainer by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Postal time isn’t included in the manufacturing time.
Can you copy my broken retainer?
Our standard new-order process uses an impression of your teeth rather than copying your damaged retainer.
What if I’ve lost only my upper or lower retainer?
You can order a single upper or lower replacement for £59.95.
Can I keep wearing a cracked retainer?
If your retainer is badly cracked, distorted, sharp or could cause injury, stop wearing it. If you’re unsure whether it’s safe to continue using it, ask your dental professional.
What if my teeth have moved since I lost my retainer?
If your teeth have noticeably moved, seek advice from your dentist or orthodontist rather than forcing an old or replacement appliance into an inappropriate position.
What if my new retainer doesn’t fit?
Contact us within 14 days of receiving it. Eligible orders are covered by our fit guarantee, which provides a free remake or refund subject to its published terms and exclusions.
